A private-function charter is any group outing where the point is the group: a milestone birthday moving between a dinner and a bar, a reunion touring the places people used to live, a hens or bucks day at the breweries, a day trip to Tangalooma or the Scenic Rim wineries, a family gathering that needs everyone at a park by midday. In Brisbane the two things that make it work are door-to-door pick-ups across a spread-out city and a driver who stays with the group for the whole plan, so nobody has to be the sober one.
Nights out and milestone parties
A typical evening job collects from three or four addresses across the suburbs, delivers to a restaurant in the CBD, Fortitude Valley, New Farm or West End, waits or repositions, moves the group to a second venue, and does a final drop-off round after midnight. We quote it as one job with waiting time itemised, which is almost always cheaper than three separate transfers. The Valley and the CBD have set-down restrictions on Friday and Saturday nights — Brunswick Street, Ann Street and the Queen Street precinct are closed or patrolled after 9pm — so pick-up points are set a street or two back and we give the group a clear meeting spot before the night starts.
Vehicle choice is about the group and the venue. Twelve to twenty people fit a minibus that can get into a Paddington or Bulimba side street; thirty or more is a midi coach, which is better on the motorway and worse in the inner suburbs. No open alcohol on board is a Queensland licensing rule for all charter operators, not a house preference.
Day trips and group tours
Brisbane day-trip charters run in every direction. Tangalooma and Moreton Island via the Holt Street Wharf at Pinkenba need an early drop and an evening pick-up timed to the ferry. The Scenic Rim, Tamborine Mountain and Mount Cotton wineries and distilleries are a loop of three or four stops with lunch in the middle; Tamborine's access roads suit minibuses and mid-size coaches rather than the largest vehicles. The brewery trail through Newstead, Teneriffe, Milton and West End is a short-hop run where the bus is doing more waiting than driving. Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast days — Australia Zoo, the theme parks, Noosa — are a straight motorway run with the vehicle held at the destination.
For anything with a lunch stop we ask the venue for its coach access before the day, because winery and restaurant car parks that take cars easily do not always take a 30-seat coach.
Family gatherings, reunions and community groups
Reunions and family events often mean older passengers and a route through the suburbs someone remembers. Vehicles with a low step or a lift can be requested; there are fewer of them, so ask early. Community and seniors' groups booking a regular monthly outing get a block rate. Sunday runs into the CBD are easier than Saturdays because the event-day closures around Suncorp and the Gabba mostly fall on Friday nights and Saturdays.

No open alcohol on board; it is a Queensland rule that applies to every charter operator. The driver takes the group between venues and gets everyone home, which is the point of booking one.
Do you do multiple pick-ups across Brisbane suburbs?
Yes. Three or four pick-up points across the city is normal. Each stop adds ten to fifteen minutes, so for a widely spread group we sometimes suggest one or two central meeting points to keep the schedule realistic.
Can the bus wait at each venue?
Yes, quoted as waiting time. For inner-city venues the driver may reposition nearby rather than wait at the door, which costs the same and avoids the set-down restrictions.
Do you run day trips to Tangalooma and the wineries?
